Queen Camilla’s Regal Style at the Farmers’ Market

Queen Camilla’s Regal Style at the Farmers’ Market

Queen Camilla made heads turn during her visit to Shrewsbury by showcasing her usual regal glamour. The royal, aged 76, opted for a classic suede coat designed by Anna Valentine, which she has worn on numerous occasions in the past. She paired this with ‘Dressage’ knee-high boots from Russell & Bromley and black leather gloves to protect herself from the cold weather.

Adding a touch of elegance to her outfit, Queen Camilla adorned her left shoulder with two stunning bejewelled bug brooches. These included a large, diamond-encrusted bee with cabochon tiger’s eye and cabochon ruby eyes, as well as a smaller sapphire horsefly set with diamond wings. Royal fashion enthusiasts were intrigued by the smaller brooch, as it was a unique piece never seen before.

Speculation arose regarding the origin of Queen Camilla’s insect-themed accessories. Some experts suggested that the brooches might have belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Since the late Queen’s passing, Camilla has had the privilege of wearing some of her most precious jewels, such as the Queen’s Sapphire Tiara and the Diamond Fringe Necklace. It is not uncommon for royal family members to inherit and wear jewellery from previous generations.

Queen Camilla’s choice of crystal-adorned bug brooches comes at a time when other royals are also embracing unique jewellery. Queen Maxima of The Netherlands recently made a bold statement by wearing giant spider brooches from a renowned Argentinian jeweller. While some admired the daring fashion choice, others found the arachnid-themed accessories to be rather unsettling.

Queen Camilla’s appearance at the farmers’ market demonstrated her impeccable taste and ability to make a fashion statement. By combining classic pieces with distinctive accessories, she captured the attention of onlookers and fashion enthusiasts alike. The presence of the bejewelled bug brooches added a touch of mystery and intrigue to her ensemble, sparking conversations about royal heritage and fashion trends. It is evident that Queen Camilla’s style continues to evolve and inspire, setting the tone for elegant and sophisticated fashion choices within the royal family.
