The Truth About Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50

The Truth About Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50

As someone who has been battling rosacea since my teenage years, finding the right products to hide redness and minimize enlarged pores has been a lifelong struggle. Over the past decade, I have experimented with various foundation brands and formulas in the hopes of achieving an even skin tone that will allow me to confidently apply bronzer and blush. While I have been loyal to a particular foundation and concealer brand for the past year, I am always open to trying out new formulas, especially those designed for redness-prone skin. This led me to test out Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50, particularly as we approach Rosacea Awareness Month in April.

Product Overview

Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula claims to provide instant concealing effects through its unique micro-encapsulated technology. It contains redness-reducing clinically proven ingredients such as α-Bisabolol, Zeolite, Provitamin B5, Urea, and Shea Butter. The product is priced at £29.99, or £44.99 when purchased with the accompanying brush. The promise of the 3-in-1 formula is to conceal instantly, treat gently, and protect long-term. It can be used as a tinted moisturizer, a color-correcting concealer, or a primer under makeup. Each purchase includes 30ml of product and comes with a soft blending brush that allows for seamless application and maximum coverage.

The 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula comes in a squeezy tube packaged inside a box with the Rosalique branding and product description. While the tube allows for easy access to every last bit of product, I find it challenging to gauge the right amount of product to use compared to bottles with pumps. Upon dispensing the product, it appears green, a color often recommended for rosacea-prone skin due to its ability to counteract red tones. However, I have had reservations about products that initially appear green and claim to adapt to skin tones, as they tend to fall short of expectations. Unfortunately, my experience with this formula was no exception. Despite starting out green, it blended into a warm, slightly orange shade on my skin, which was less than ideal for my fair complexion.

Texture and Performance

While the product’s SPF content is commendable for providing UV protection, I found the formula to be patchy and inadequate in covering my redness. Additionally, when layered over my standard moisturizer, the product felt tacky to the touch, reminiscent of sunscreen products. As someone with naturally oily skin, I prefer products that feel silky and lightweight on the skin to prevent any slipping or disruption of subsequent products. In my opinion, the texture of the formula left much to be desired.

Overall, my experience with Rosalique’s 3-in-1 Anti-Redness Miracle Formula SPF50 was underwhelming. While I appreciate the brand’s efforts to cater to individuals with rosacea, I believe the formula could be improved. The lack of adaptability to different skin tones and the texture issues detracted from the product’s effectiveness. While the SPF 50 element is a positive aspect, the formula’s consistency was a letdown. The accompanying brush, however, was a highlight and a tool I will continue to use. As for now, I will stick with my current foundation choice until a more suitable alternative is found.
