Celebrities and Activists Come Together for a Cause

Over the weekend, a number of well-known faces were seen at the This Is About Humanity 6th Anniversary Soirée in Los Angeles. Among them were Lauren Sánchez, Eva Longoria, Jordana Brewster, and Julianne Hough. The event, which took place at the home of Stacey and Henry Winkler, brought together celebrities, activists, and chefs for a night of awareness and fundraising.

Lauren Sánchez, who was honored by the organization last year, made a stunning appearance in a black satin Alexander McQueen dress. The dress, priced at $2,890, featured a romantic red rose print and was altered by Sánchez to turn the sleeveless style into a strapless one. She paired the dress with a black metal Tyler Ellis clutch worth $6,000, pointy-toed pumps, and gold jewelry. Sánchez, 54, was also seen mingling with Hollywood power player and activist Scooter Braun, and posing for photos with Jordana Brewster and Eva Longoria.

This Is About Humanity, founded in 2018, aims to raise awareness about separated and reunified families and children at the border. The organization, led by Zoe Winkler Reinis, Elsa Marie Collins, and Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade, has attracted the support of celebrities and activists who are passionate about the cause. The event featured multiple Michelin-starred chefs, including Javier Plascencia, Dominique Crenn, Josiah Citrin, and Oscar Torres. Valle de Guadalupe winemakers and mixologists also provided libations for the evening.

In addition to Lauren Sánchez, Eva Longoria, Jordana Brewster, and Julianne Hough, other notable guests at the soirée included “The Talk” co-host Amanda Kloots, “Pose” star MJ Rodriguez, and “Bad Boys for Life” actress Kate del Castillo. The evening was a testament to the power of coming together for a common cause and using one’s platform to make a difference in the world.

Overall, the event was a success in terms of raising awareness and funds for This Is About Humanity’s important mission. With the support of celebrities, activists, and chefs, the organization is able to continue its work of advocating for separated and reunified families and children at the border. It is heartening to see individuals from different walks of life come together to support a cause greater than themselves.
